Ontologies developed for specific domains.
  • Creative Commons integration tools - Creative Commons provides capabilities for developers to add license metadata functionality to all types of applications. Metadata standards for Creative Commons licenses can be used to both mark and identify CC licensed work. This can be anything from simply adding the ability for a media player to show the license information of a song to a full-fledged, RDFa-using, semantic-web promoting web application for people to upload, share, and remix content.

  • DAML Ontology Library - A list of ontologies off the DAML.org home page.

  • DOAP - Description Of A Project (DOAP) is a project to create an XML/RDF vocabulary to describe software projects, and in particular open source. In addition to developing an RDF schema and examples, the DOAP project aims to provide tool support in all the popular programming languages.

  • Dublin Core Metadata Initiative - The Dublin Core Metadata Initiative is an open organization incorporated in Singapore as a public, not-for-profit Company limited by Guarantee. They provide simple standards to facilitate the finding, sharing and management of information.

  • FOAF - Friend Of A Friend (FOAF)is an RDF-based schema to describe persons and their social network. The FOAF project is creating a Web of machine-readable pages describing people, the links between them and the things they create and do. FOAF defines an open, decentralized technology for connecting social Web sites, and the people they describe.

  • SchemaWeb - A directory of RDF schemas expressed in the RDFS, OWL and DAML+OIL schema languages.
