  • Cycorp - Cycorp was founded in 1994 to research, develop, and commercialize Artificial Intelligence. Cycorp's vision is to create the world's first true artificial intelligence, having both common sense and the ability to reason with it.

  • DARPA Agent Markup Agent Homepare - The DARPA Agent Markup Language (DAML) Program officially began in August 2000. The goal of the DAML effort was to develop a language and tools to facilitate the concept of the Semantic Web. The DAML program will ended 2006.

  • Laboratory for Applied Ontology - At the Institute of Cognitive Science and Technology, under the Italian National Research Council.

  • lotico - lotico brings together location, time, concepts and community for members of the Semantic Web Meetup Alliance.

  • Mindswap - The Semantic Web Research Group is a group of people working with Semantic Web technology inside the MIND LAB at University of Maryland Institute for Advanced Computer Studies. This site is the first OWL-compliant web site.

  • OnToKnowledge - The OnToKnowledge project developed the Ontology Inference Layer (OIL).

  • OpenCyc - The open source version of the Cyc technology, a large and comprehensive general knowledge base and commonsense reasoning engine. OpenCyc can be used as the basis of a wide variety of intelligent applications

  • semanticweb.org - the Semantic Web has inspired and engaged many people to create innovative semantic technologies and applications. semanticweb.org is a wiki for this community.

  • Tetherless World at RPI - The Tetherless World Constellation, at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, addresses the emerging area of Web Science and focuses on future use of the World Wide Web. Faculty in the constellation explore the research and engineering principles that underlie the Web, enhance the Web's reach beyond the desktop and laptop computer, and develop new technologies and languages that expand the capabilities of the Web.

  • WonderWeb Project - Members of the WonderWeb consortium have been active participants in the W3C WebOnt Working Group, contributing to the production of the OWL specification. The WonderWeb project officially finished in July 2004. These pages are here for reference, but are unmaintained and may be out of date.
