  • CUI Object Systems Group - The Object Systems Group at the Centre d'Informatique of the University of Geneva presents a collection of pointers to Object-Oriented WWW resources.

  • IEEE Computer Society Standards Activities Board (SAB) - The objective of the Standards Activities Board (SAB) is "to provide an organizational framework and conducive environment within which to develop broadly accepted, sound, timely, and technically excellent standards that will advance the theory and practice of computing and information processing science and technology."

  • Object Data Management Group - The Object Data Management Group (ODMG) completed its work on object data management standards in 2001 and was disbanded.

The final release of the ODMG standard can be found in the book "The Object Data Standard ODMG 3.0", including the overall data model, and the Smalltalk and C++ bindings for ODMG. The ODMG Java binding has been superceded by Java Data Objects (JDO).

  • Object Management Group (OMG) - OMG is a non-profit consortium dedicated to promoting the theory and practice of object technology (OT) for the development of distributed computing systems. OMG was formed to help reduce the complexity, lower the costs, and hasten the introduction of new software applications. Our goal is to provide a common architectural framework for object-oriented applications based on widely available interface specifications. Our international membership currently stands at over 600 software vendors, software developers and end users.

  • SHORE: A High-Performance, Scalable, Persistent Object Repository - The objective of the SHORE project is to design, implement, and evaluate a persistent object system that will serve the needs of a wide variety of target applications including hardware and software CAD systems, persistent programming languages, geographic information systems, satellite data repositories, and multi-media applications. Shore expands on the basic capabilities of the widely-used EXODUS Storage Manager in a number of ways including support for typed objects, multiple programming languages,a Unix-like hierarchical name space for named objects, and a Unix-compatible interface to objects with a text field.

  • Software Metrics Sites - The Software Metrics Sites are a guide to Internet resources on software measurement, process improvement and related areas. Topics featured include electronic papers, bibliographies and conferences on software measurement, object-oriented metrics, functional size measurement and software process improvement.
