Organization for the Advancement of Structured Information Standards (OASIS) - OASIS (Organization for the Advancement of Structured Information Standards) is a not-for-profit, international consortium that drives the development, convergence, and adoption of e-business standards. The consortium produces more Web services standards than any other organization along with standards for security, e-business, and standardization efforts in the public sector and for application-specific markets. Founded in 1993, OASIS has more than 5,000 participants representing over 600 organizations and individual members in 100 countries.
W3C - Web Services - The World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) develops interoperable technologies (specifications, guidelines, software, and tools) to lead the Web to its full potential. W3C is a forum for information, commerce, communication, and collective understanding. Along with many web related standards, the W3C also has working groups in the domain of web services whose activiies include designing the infrastructure, defining the architecture and creating the core technologies for web services.
Web Services Interoperabilty Organization - WS-I is an open industry organization chartered to promote Web services interoperability across platforms, operating systems and programming languages. The organization?s diverse community of Web services leaders helps customers to develop interoperable Web services by providing guidance, recommended practices and supporting resources.
