HTTP - Hypertext Transport Protocol - Specifications, Standards, News, and Discussion about the W3C's Hypertext Transport Protocol (HTTP) standard.
SOAP - Simple Object Access Protocol - SOAP is an XML based object protocol for the exchange of information in a decentralized, distributed environment. It consists of: an envelope that defines a framework for describing what is in a message and how to process it, a set of encoding rules for expressing instances of application-defined datatypes, and a convention for representing remote procedure calls and responses. All encoding is in XML.
UDDI - Universal Description, Discovery, and Integration - This is the official community gathering place and information resource for the UDDI OASIS Standard, which defines a universal method for enterprises to dynamically discover and invoke Web services. The standard is advanced through an open process by the OASIS UDDI Specification Technical Committee, a group that encourages new participation from developers and users. This is a community-driven site, and the public is encouraged to contribute content.
W3C Extensible Markup Language (XML) - This site is provided by the W3C (Worldwide Web Consortium) and provides the technical specifications for the Extensible Markup Language (XML). XML is a very flexible text format derived from SGML that allows information and services to be encoded with meaningful structure and semantics.
W3C XPath 1.0 Standard - XPath is a language for addressing parts of an XML document, designed to be used by both XSLT and XPointer. This W3C XPath document provides an overview of the capabilities and syntax that the XPath standard provides.
W3C XQuery 1.0 Standard (Candidate Recommendation) - XML is a versatile markup language, capable of labeling the information content of diverse data sources including structured and semi-structured documents, relational databases, and object repositories. A query language that uses the structure of XML intelligently can express queries across all these kinds of data, whether physically stored in XML or viewed as XML via middleware. This specification describes a query language called XQuery, which is designed to be broadly applicable across many types of XML data sources.
W3C XSLT 1.0 Standard - This specification defines the syntax and semantics of XSLT, which is a language for transforming XML documents into other XML documents.XSLT is designed for use as part of XSL, which is a stylesheet language for XML. In addition to XSLT, XSL includes an XML vocabulary for specifying formatting. XSL specifies the styling of an XML document by using XSLT to describe how the document is transformed into another XML document that uses the formatting vocabulary.
Web Service Choreography Interface (WSCI) 1.0 - The Web Service Choreography Interface (WSCI) is an XML-based interface description language that describes the flow of messages exchanged by a Web Service participating in choreographed interactions with other services. WSCI describes the dynamic interface of the Web Service participating in a given message exchange by means of reusing the operations defined for a static interface. WSCI works in conjunction with the Web Service Description Language (WSDL), the basis for the W3C Web Services Description Working Group; it can, also, work with another service definition language that exhibits the same characteristics as WSDL. The standard for WSCI is currently in draft form and is published by the W3C.
Web Services Description Language (WSDL) - This site provides the specification for the Web Services Description Language (WSDL). WSDL is an xml format for describing network services.
Web Services Interoperabilty Organization - WS-I is an open industry organization chartered to promote Web services interoperability across platforms, operating systems and programming languages. The organization?s diverse community of Web services leaders helps customers to develop interoperable Web services by providing guidance, recommended practices and supporting resources.
