  • ACM Special Interest Group on Knowledge Discovery in Data and Data Mining (SIGKDD) - The primary focus of SIGKDD is to provide the premier forum for advancement and adoption of the "science" of knowledge discovery and data mining.

  • Aerospace Data Miner (ADAM) - The aim of the ADAM project is to develop an easy to use domain specific software system
that integrates data mining and monitoring techniques to aid maintenance and operation of
    commercial aircraft.

  • Center for Data Insight (CDI) - The Center for Data Insight (CDI) is an applied research center partnered with the latest vendors of enterprise ready products covering the entire spectrum of the Knowledge Discovery and Data Mining process. The CDI contains advanced parallel computers, servers, and workstations. The CDI also contains an extensive suite of industry leading tools for database, data cleansing, data quality analysis, data preparation and aggregation, statistical analysis, data mining predictive modeling, and data visualization. In addition the CDI has an experienced academic and business staff extensively trained in the practical use of these technologies.

  • Data Mining Group at CWI - CWI is the National Research Institute for Mathematics and Computer Science in the Netherlands. This page provides information on the people in this group and some of their papers. As part of the data mining research project, the Data Surveyor tool is developed, and tested on different applications.

  • Data Mining Group at the University of Helinski - The Data Mining group works at the Department of Computer Science at the University of Helsinki. The Data Mining group is part of the larger From Data to Knowledge group. Our research topic, data mining (or knowledge discovery in databases), is a new research area developing methods and systems for extracting interesting and useful information from large sets of data. Data mining methods can be used in a variety of application areas, such as commercial databases, telecommunication alarm sequences, epidemiological data, etc. The area combines techniques from databases, statistics, and machine learning.

  • Data Mining Resources (Purdue University) - This collection of data mining resources includes links to research
groups, tools and systems, and publications.

  • Orion Knowledge Networks - The ORION Knowledge Base System is an environment for modelling of analytic knowledge about a particular area. It uses a Network Methodology to represent the knowledge. Orion has Knowledge technology using self-modifying state machine that can be used to activate knowledge in many areas, replacing the sequential machine paradigm. Orion features datamining, knowledge management and business intelligence products.

  • SoftRel - Software Reliability Prediction - SoftRel develops predictive models. Namely numerical and classification models via data mining, knowledge discovery, and knowledge extraction.

  • The Data Mining Group - A consortium of industry and academics formed to facilitate the creation of useful
standards for the data mining community.
